Belvidere School is a Shropshire Council maintained secondary school in Shrewsbury. There were 823 pupils on roll at January 2009.
The school is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive on the edge of the Shrewsbury conurbation. It is sited in attractive and extensive grounds bordering open fields down to the River Severn.
Belvidere School has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and its aim is to combine good personal relationships with a sound work ethic, which it regards as an appropriate preparation for the working environment its students will meet when they leave the school at 16.
The school emphasises the importance of good examination results, regular and rigorous homework and high standards of personal appearance and conduct.
