The outcomes contributed to and the impact when a school meets the theme criteria are described here:
Personal Social and Health Education (PSHE):
addressing relationship and sex education, drug education (medicines, alcohol, tobacco, volatile substance misuse) and child protection.
- Provides pupils with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to make informed decisions about their lives.
Healthy Eating
- pupils have the confidence, skills and understanding to make healthy food choices
- healthy and nutritious food and drink are available across the school day
PE and School Sport (Physical Activity)
- pupils are provided with a range of opportunities to be physically active
- they understand how physical activity can help them be healthier, and improve and be part of their everyday life
Emotional Health and Wellbeing
(including anti-bullying and discrimination)
- Promoting positive emotional health and wellbeing to help pupils understand and express their feelings, build their confidence and emotional resilience, and therefore their capacity to learn.
