Admission arrangements for Shropshire local authority maintained schools from 2011
In accordance with the requirements of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 and additional requirements under the Education and Skills Act 2008, Shropshire Council, as the admission authority for all of its community and controlled schools has a duty to consult on its proposed admission arrangements. This consultation took place for a period of 8 weeks from the start of January 2010 until 28 February 2010.
Following the consultation period any comments received were considered. The arrangements have now been determined by Shropshire Council and are available for inspection on this page using the attached link, or by contacting the Admissions Team, Children and Young People's Services, The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury, SY3 8HQ. Parents of children aged 2 to 16 have the right to contact the Office of the Schools Adjudicator if they consider that the admission arrangements are unlawful or do not comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code of Practice. Any such comments should have been submitted in writing no later than 31 July 2010 to The Office of the Schools Adjudicator, Mowden Hall, Staindrop Road, Darlington, DL3 9BG.
