Proposed admission arrangements for Shropshire local authority maintained schools from 2011
Shropshire Council as the admission authority for all of its community and controlled schools has a duty to consult on its proposed admission arrangements. This consultation takes place for a period of 8 weeks from the start of January 2010 until 28 February 2010. Details are available for inspection on this website via the appropriate link, or by contacting the Admissions Team, the contact details are on this webpage.
Parents of children aged 2 to 16 are included in this consultation to consider whether the admission arrangements are lawful and comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code of Practice (available at www.dcsf.gov.uk/sacode, there is a link on this page under Related information).
Any comments should be submitted in writing no later than Monday 1 March 2010 to the Director of Children and Young People's Services, (Ref: Admissions), The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay Shrewsbury, SY3 8HQ or by email to: school-admissions@shropshire.gov.uk
The admission arrangements for all Shropshire Aided and Foundation Schools are part of this consultation but remain unchanged from last year, with the exception of Bishop Hooper Primary School which is attached to this page.
