Participants will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of learning disabilities and to explore the impact that they may have on how individuals experience their lives

Course Objectives
- To identify the difference between learning disability and learning difficulty
- To demonstrate an understanding of social and historical factors that may impact on people with a learning disability
- To explore different communication choices in relation to support
- To have an awareness of current practice and policies i.e. personalisation
Cost
£25 per delegate (or free of charge to staff employed within Assessment and Eligibility)
Suitable for
Staff working in health, social care or community services, who may have contact with individuals with learning disabilities.
