The aim of the Parent Partnership Service is to provide a range of flexible services for parents and carers whose children have special educational needs, in order to empower them to play an active and informed role in their child’s education.
The Parent Partnership Service can offer:
- Give clear information about special education needs issues
- Signpost you to helpful organisations.
A Parent Partnership Officer can offer:
- Information and support on the phone
- Help with letters, reports and forms relating to your child’s education
- A face-to-face meeting
- Support at some meetings if available
We also provide:
- Workshops and information sessions
- Free regular newsletters
- Free booklets (including School Action, Statementing, Parental Contribution, Annual Review, Transition)
- Information about support groups and help with setting up and running support groups
