Inclusion Policy Guidance
This guidance is intended to act as a tool to collate all policy documents relating to all children with additional needs e.g. Gifted and Talented; Special Educational Needs; Looked After Children. Thus, instead of having several policy documents they could be amalgamated into one.
The guidance could be used to bring together those with current responsibility for these areas in every school and discuss common processes and procedures which can then be adopted by the whole school team and be gradually built into all school policies and practice.
The guidance includes all statutory responsibilities in this area and includes a comprehensive list of statements which can be used, as appropriate, to write this policy, should the school so wish.
Inclusive Practice Checklist
This is a tool or school self evaluation of their inclusive practice, relating to all children with any additional needs, that is, any learners requiring provision that is additional to or different from that which is normally available in school. It is arranged in the School Evaluation Form (SEF) sections for easy transfer of information. It may be used in part or in total, according to the purpose required.
