The Special Educational Needs (SEN) Code of Practice (2001) requires local authorities to monitor how effectively schools are using their delegated funding for SEN. This strategy sets out the objectives and scope of the monitoring which will be clearly linked to schools’ own self evaluation of their SEN provision.
