Education and learning Special educational needs Policy guidance for schoolsThe regulations governing school Special Educational Needs (SEN) policies and their content remain the same under the SEN and Disability Act 2001 although schools will need to update them in order to reflect the new SEN Code of Practice.
The attached pack has been devised in order to help schools update their SEN policies as easily and painlessly as possible. It contains an outline SEN policy, with a variety of suggestions for amending each section, and is included in both PDF format, as well as an editable word format.
