We advise reserving a place in advance if you want to look at material on microfiche/microfilm. If you want to see original documents, you do not need to book, but you are welcome to order material in advance in person, by email or by telephone. You can also use the Shropshire Archives document request link on this page. You will need a Shropshire Archives Reader's Ticket to consult original documents.
Please select the link to our pages 'Visiting Shropshire Archives - frequently asked questions' or contact us for further guidance.
Please note on Saturdays and Tuesday evenings, we operate a restricted service due to staffing levels. We are not able to produce original documents after 5.45pm on a Tuesday evening. We will not be able to produce documents or books from our stores between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on a Saturday. Also, we cannot guarantee to make photocopies/printouts on demand at these times, so you may be asked to collect them at a later date. If you have a complicated enquiry, or if it is your first visit, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to help.
