Shropshire Archives town and county maps
Shropshire Archives has reproductions of 5 town and county maps for sale, to purchase any of the maps you can:
- complete the on-line form and pay, using our secure site, by credit or debit card
- print and complete the attached publication 'town-and-county-map-order-and-payment' (PDF) and post it to us with a cheque made out in pounds sterling to ‘Shropshire County Council’.
- visit Shropshire Archives and purchase maps from our Reception.

The example shown above is the Tudor and Stuart Shrewsbury map, circa 1630, a reconstruction of the town, researched by the Discovering Shropshire's History Project.

All of the maps are ideal for display and most would fit an A3 frame. They can be purchased from Shropshire Archives for the following prices:
Cost if collected: £6.50
Cost UK by post: £7.50

If you are buying maps online....
If you use the on-line application form, please note the reference number (or merchant's cart ID) in case you have to contact us about your payment. If you have applied on-line and have any queries about your transaction, please contact the Senior Archive Assistants on 01743 255350 (via Customer Service Centre) and they will be able to assist. Please note that the Senior Archive Assistants do not work each day, but if they are not available immediately, they will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you are ordering more than 5 maps, then please contact Shropshire Archives for advice as there may be a discount on the postage.
Once you have submitted your order, your map(s) will be sent out within 10 working days by second class postage.

Shropshire County Council will use the data you provide for the sole purpose of this application. Your personal details will be retained for a maximum of one year and will not be passed to other parties or used for any other purposes.
