Craftbox project

Craftbox is a specially made box containing commissioned craft items by 17 makers, which will tour to schools and community centres in Wolverhampton and Shropshire.
Craftbox is a partnership project between Bilston Craft Gallery and Shropshire County Council. The box gives people the opportunity to engage with craft of various disciplines and handle or study the objects closely, often the objects are seen as fragile or too precious to handle in a gallery setting. All the objects and the box itself have been specially commissioned for the project.
You can visit the CRAFTBOX website by following the link on this page. The information on the website will be put onto a cd rom for easy access by user groups.
Craftbox has been funded by Arts Council of England West Midlands and West Midlands Hub as part of the Renaissance in the Regions programme administered by MLA as well as by Shropshire County Council and Wolverhampton City Council.
