What we do:
LAA Performance Officer - work with the Partnership team and representatives from partner organisations to report and improve performance for the Shropshire Local Area Agreement. Implement and develop the use of our Performance Management System, PerformancePlus.
Corporate Performance Review Officers - work with Directorates to promote and develop a corporate approach to performance management, co-ordinating corporate performance data to ensure timely collection and analysis in line with requirements of CAA, increased focus on localised performance framework and using customer intelligence in performance management.
Strategic Policy & Planning Officer - support development of the Council’s Corporate Plan and lead on the Annual Refresh of the Local Area Agreement, liaising with Block Leads and the Shropshire Partnership.
Corporate Performance Improvement Officer - lead and provide support on the council’s Value for Money Review programme and maintain an overview of the council’s Improvement Plan.
Corporate Projects Officer - provides project management support on the council improvement agenda, including unitary and admin support to the Head of Performance & Communications.
Diversity Officer - responsible for implementing and informing corporate equalities & diversity policies, providing support to members and staff. Work with Shropshire Partnership, supporting the Equalities Forum on initiatives such as the Hate Crime initiative and Migrant Workers.
Services of the Performance and Policy unit include:
- co-ordinating the strategic planning for Shropshire Council, for example co-ordinating production of the Corporate Plan, and development of the Local Area Agreement (LAA);
- leading on Equalities and Diversity;
- presenting corporate performance monitoring reports to track progress on the authorities priorities;
- publishing an annual Performance Plan in line with government guidelines;
- supporting the delivery of the Local Area Agreement, including providing performance management reports to the Public Service Board, co-ordinating the delivery planning process and producing Annual Review and Refresh information to Government Office West Midlands and the department for Communities and Local Government.
