Onny Meadows is part of the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. The meadow takes its name from the River Onny which runs along its boundary. The site has been developed as a tourist and education facility to interpret and promote the Shropshire Hills and the wider countryside. Consisting of 11 hectares of planted wildflower meadows, hedgerows and trees/woodland. There is an active volunteer group helping with the upkeep of the site and its management.
The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre and the Onny Meadows is well worth a visit, especially since its recent refurbishment in April 2008, and provides a fantastic day out for all the family.

Facilities within the visitor centre include information panels, leaflets, displays and exhibitions. Various events are held on site, both within the visitor centre and on meadows, including guided walks and talks.
Recreational activities: There is a hard surface path provided around site, ideal for wheelchair use. There are also longer circular routes that start from the Centre.
