Are you or someone you know interested in developing better IT skills?
If so, Shropshire Broadplaces run informal drop in sessions where you can come along and learn IT skills in an informal, supported setting at many local venues across Shropshire. The sessions are suitable for everyone, from the complete beginner who has never turned on a computer before, to those wanting to advance beyond the basics.
Here are just some of the sessions we run:
North Shropshire and Oswestry area
- Beechtree Community Centre, Whitchurch - IT Sessions run throughout the week for all abilites. Contact the centre on 01948 666612 for details.
- Victoria Room, Ruyton XI Towns 10am - 6pm.
Shrewsbury area
- Castlefields Cyber Cafe every Monday 2pm - 4pm and every Tuesday 1pm - 3pm for over 55's.
- Pontesbury Public Hall every Thursday 2pm - 8pm.
South Shropshire and Bridgnorth area
- Much Wenlock Fire Station Tuesday 3pm - 5pm and Friday 1pm - 3pm.
- Quatt Village Hall Tuesday 7pm - 9pm and Wednesday 10am - 12pm.
- The Kangaroo Inn, Aston on Clun - Monday Night Club - Drop-in session for all abilities 7pm - 9pm every second Monday of the month.
Please note that sessions are reliant on volunteers, so please check with the Shropshire Broadplaces team on 01743 252571, or contact the venue, before going. Some venues charge £1 or £2 to cover the cost of room hire. Contact the venue for more information.
