Work to replace the water mains in Clee Hill will take place from today (Monday 25 February), for approximately 12 weeks.
The work, to be carried out by Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions on behalf of Severn Trent Water, will consist of a combination of trenching and drilling. Therefore, to carry out this work safely and efficiently, it will be necessary to close a section of the B4214 from The White House to the entrance for Hopesmoor.
Whilst this stretch of road is closed, traffic will be diverted south on the A456 Burford, west on the A49 Woofferton, north on the A4117 Ludlow, east to Clee Hill, south on the B4214 and vice versa.
Access will be maintained for properties near the work, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and horse riders.
Julie Maund, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions customer service manager, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this work may cause. We would like to thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation, and will make every effort to ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum.”
For further information about this work, people can contact Rob Harris, Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions customer liaison officer on 07791 926010. Alternatively people can visit the Customer Service Drop-In Centre at the Mayors Parlour, Load Street, Bewdley from Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 12.30pm.
