Council and democracy Press releases Shrewsbury Fields in Shifnal - essential maintenanceShrewsbury Fields in Shifnal will be closed from Monday 25 February for two weeks to allow for essential maintenance work.
Work will include installing new kerbing, and resurfacing the pavements and road.
To enable this work to be carried out safely, the road will be closed weekdays from 9.00am until 4.30pm.
Access will be maintained for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and horse riders throughout this closure.
Richard Suggett, Shropshire County Council’s co-ordination manager for the south of the county, said: “We’d like to apologise in advance for any disruption this work may cause; however, we hope that people will understand that this work is essential.”
