Everyone is invited to come and meet the resident sheep, pigs, goats and poultry at Greenacres Farm Open Day at Walford Heath on Sunday 8 June between 10am and 4pm.
There will be a plant sale selling perennial garden plants and concrete garden products, light refreshments and a table top sale where pitches will be available at £5.00 each.
The farm shop will be selling free range eggs, vegetables, jams, pickles and chutneys all made from farm-grown produce. Products will also be available from Maesbury Metals and Patchworks, which include made to measure rought iron products and duvet covers, throws, and bags.
Greenacres Farm is a 16 acre smallholding run by Shropshire County Council's Community Services and provides employment and work experience for adults with learning disabilities.
Mel Draycott, Assistant Locality Organiser at Greenacres said: “We will be selling a wide range of products from fresh produce to soft furnishings and offer a warm welcome to all our visitors.”
Councillor Barbara Craig, Cabinet member for community services said. “Greenacres are dedicated in providing people with the skills and confidence for work experience and employment and help to provide a value for money service for the community.”
