Good attendance at Clee residents meeting

Affordable housing and speed limits were just two issues raised when residents from the Clee area met local councillors at their annual Let's Talk meeting (last night, Tuesday 25 September).

More than 60 people attended the meeting, which was held at Clee Village Hall, and was open to people living in Clee Hill, Cleobury Mortimer, Burford, Hopton Wafers, Nash and surrounding parishes.

Local councillors from Shropshire County Council, South Shropshire District Council and local parish councils attended the meeting to meet residents and to discuss issues of concern or interest. There were many forthright questions on affordable housing, which is of great concern to residents, and Martin Holland, Chief Executive of Shropshire Housing, attended to respond.

Adrian Coles MBE, Shropshire County Councillor for Clee, said: “I was pleased to see so many local people at the Let’s Talk meeting, and to hear the varied subjects that were of concern to them. As a result of the meeting many of these concerns can now be investigated and wil, I hope, come to a satisfactory conclusion.”
