The Children and Young People’s Scrutiny Panel meet on Wednesday 19 March to review key issues affecting young people in Shropshire. One area this meeting will be focusing on is youth issues and two young people - Laura Jebb and Daniel Greenwood, who are both members of the Speak Out Group - will be taking part in the panel.
The panel will be considering a report from young people themselves who have been looking at the quality of youth services in Shropshire.
Roger Evans, Chairmain of Children and Young People’s Scrutiny Panel said: "I very much welcome the opportunity to talk to young people directly about the services they use and how good they think they are. I am pleased that we will be joined on the panel by Laura and Daniel to provide a young persons perspective.”
The panel will also look at fostering arrangements in the county. Shropshire is keen to find people who would be prepared to foster. Shropshire County Council is committed to helping the most vulnerable of our children, some of whom need new caring families to live with.
