On Monday 19 November young people from 12 schools across the county will be displaying all the great work they have been doing as part of National Anti-Bullying week (November 19 – 23).
This year-long anti-bullying project will give young people and schools a chance to show what progress has been made in improving policy and practice and, most importantly, to reduce bullying. Young people have been the driving force behind this initiative and this display will give them the chance to showcase what they have been doing in primary and secondary schools in Shropshire.
Ann Hartley, Member for Children’s Services said: “Bullying in any form is not acceptable and Shropshire County Council in partnership with other Children's Trust agencies, schools and young people have been working hard to reduce the harmful effects of bullying.”
Students and schools are being supported by Shropshire County Council’s Prevention Services Team, but this is just the start. Students and young people will be returning to Shirehall in the spring to summarise their work and demonstrate how it has enabled them to address the Government’s anti-bullying charter of best practice and reduce bullying.
