Performing arts students from Shrewsbury College will be touring the county next month to present "Distractions", a play to inform their fellow peers about the importance of road safety.

This theatre-in-education production, supported by Shropshire County Council’s road safety team, has been written and produced by seven students in their final HND year, and will form part of their course work.

The play, made up of many different sketches, lasts around 30 minutes and has been put together for Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils.

Malcolm Farrar, Shropshire County Council’s road safety officer, said: “This is a well thought out production which is fun, memorable and yet has a serious road safety message.”
