Extended hours for Ludlow Park & Ride

The Ludlow Park & Ride service will operate for longer from 1 April 2008.

The first bus will leave the Eco Park at 7.25am, with the last bus back from the town centre at 6.25pm. This is around half an hour later than the current service out of town.

This extension to the hours of operation, to be trialled for six months, follows a request from local businesses and will allow workers in the town to use the Park & Ride service instead of parking in the town centre.

In addition to this, from 1 April the cost of the town’s Park & Ride service will revert back to the original cost of 50p return, following the free 12 month promotional offer.

Jon Hayes, Shropshire County Council’s principal officer for passenger transport, said: “The service already provides an alternative to taking cars into the town and we hope this extension will allow more people to use the service.

“Despite the reintroduction of the 50p fare this still represents excellent value for money when compared to the cost of parking in the town.”
