A special lunch menu is to be served in Shropshire’s primary schools next week to celebrate the release of ‘Prince Caspian’, the latest film in the Chronicles of Narnia series.

On Thursday 19 June children will be able to tuck into a special Narnia-themed menu, and youngsters eating lunch at school on the day will also be able to enter a special Narnia-related competition.

Items on the menu include: Trumpkin’s sweet chicken (chicken breast in a sweet sticky sauce), Aslan’s jambalaya (sausage paella and savoury rice), and a vegetarian option, each served with a choice of Pevensie children’s vegetables.

For dessert, children can choose from Reedicheep’s fruity shortcake (biscuits topped with cream, strawberries and kiwi fruit) or Prince Caspian’s delight (chocolate and orange cupcakes).

The two-course lunch costs £1.75.

‘Prince Caspian’ will be in cinemas from 26 June.
