Local carers groups in Shropshire

Shropshire County Council has set up local carer groups across Shropshire.

The next meetings will take place on 26 November 2pm-4pm at the Community Services Offices, Holbache Road in Oswestry and 28 November from 10.00am – 12 noon at Louise House on Roman Road in Shrewsbury.

Dates for Bridgnorth and Market Drayton meetings are to be arranged in the New Year.

Barbara Craig, Cabinet Member for Community Services said “The groups have been set up to find out the views of carers at a local level and to ensure that carers have all the relevant information about services available within their area. We really encourage carers to attend the events”

Front-line staff from Community Services, Health and the Voluntary Sector will be attending the groups. This will give carers the opportunity to be involved in creating new, innovative services within their area.

All carers are invited and encouraged to attend the groups and don't need to book a place.
