Road works completed during summer holidays

The resurfacing of a stretch of road outside Hadnall Primary School in Astley Lane, Hadnall is due to be completed later tomorrow evening (Friday 10 August).

Shropshire County Council has undertaken this work, which also includes minor improvements to the drainage system, during the quieter time of school holidays in order to limit any possible disruption.

Work started on this scheme to improve the surface of the road on Monday 30 July and is one of a number of works taking place across the county during this less busy period.

Ian Walshaw, Shropshire County Council’s acting assistant divisional surveyor, said: “We are using this quieter time wisely in order to carry out essential works which will; we hope impact as little as possible on those travelling within the county.”
