Advice for people with mental health issues who may be experiencing debt, will be available at the Shropshire Customer First Point at Shrewsbury Reference Library on Friday 16 May.
A Shropshire Care Information Officer will be at hand from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at the Reference Library on Castle Gates, to answer enquiries about help and support available.
The advice session is one of several events this week in support of Mind Week 2008 campaign, which highlights the need for better support and services for people with mental health problems and debt difficulties.
Councillor Barbara Craig, cabinet member for community services said: “Lack of money and being in debt are two of the factors that can cause stress and make life difficult for people. Having support is therefore crucial to help ease the pressure of debt and help reduce stress for those most vulnerable in our community.”
The event will include an information display and leaflets on mental health and debt management.
