Fashion course returns to Ludlow Museum Resource Centre
Following the success of the illustrated lectures during the ‘Glamorous Fashion’ event at Ludlow Museum Resource Centre, Dr Susan Mee is returning for an eight week course that looks at further developments in fashion.
The lectures will include the opportunity to study closely the wide variety of garments and accessories in the County Museum collections. People will spend time looking at hats, shoes, the power of pattern and the way in which we shopped for clothing throughout the ages.
“Sue’s lectures are very popular and great fun”, said Sarah Griffiths, Museum Education Officer for Shropshire County Museum Service, “and quite unique in the way they use the collections to illustrate the changes in fashion that Sue is highlighting. It’s so much easier to understand a point when you can actually see the real thing.”
The course starts on Wednesday 3 October, 2.00pm – 4.00pm and the cost is £56. Booking forms and course details can be found at Ludlow Library or you can book a provisional place by phoning Ludlow Museum Resource Centre on 01584 813665.
