E.ON Energy Services on behalf of E.ON Central Networks will be carrying out works to install electricity cables to the new Marks and Spencer store in Bridgnorth next week.
The works are expected to start on Monday (27 October) and will last for five days during off peak hours. The electricity cables are being installed on the A442 at Cann Hall Road and traffic lane restrictions will be necessary in order for the works to be carried out and to ensure the safety of the workforce.
An advisory speed limit of 20mph will be in force and Stop/Go boards will also be in operation to direct traffic between 9.30am and 4pm during the works.
John Everall, Shropshire County Council’s Cabinet member for environment and sustainability, said: “Although these are not Shropshire County Council works, officers have been working closely with E.ON to ensure that any disruption is minimised. It is necessary that these works are carried out now to ensure that the store is open in time for Christmas.”
