People living in the Weston Rhyn, Whittington, Gobowen and St Martins areas are being invited to join local councillors at the area’s “Let’s Talk” meeting on Thursday 23 October. The meeting is being held at The Scout Hut, Gobowen, starting at 7.00pm.
At the meeting, local councillors from Shropshire County Council, Oswestry Borough Council and local parish councils will listen to people’s comments and concerns and answer their questions.
People will be able to raise any issue, and it is expected that discussions may cover subjects including road safety, affordable housing, services and facilities for young and older people, and the environment.
Comments can be made during a question and answer session, as well as in workshop groups.
Bill Jenkins, Shropshire County Councillor for Weston Rhyn, said: “This is an opportunity for local people in our area to tell us about things that matter to them.”
Trevor Davies, Shropshire County Councillor for Whittington, said: “This is a chance for people to have their say on issues that concern them, and about things that will benefit the community.”
