Crane to be removed from construction site

St Mary’s Street and Dogpole in Shrewsbury will be closed on Thursday evening (29 May) to allow for a large crane to be removed from a construction site in St Mary’s Court.

These essential road closures will be in place from around 8pm until the early hours of Friday morning whilst the crane is loaded onto a vehicle.

The timing of the removal has been carefully co-ordinated to take place before the programmed resurfacing works, therefore avoiding any damage to the new surface.

Access will be maintained for residents and pedestrians throughout these closures and signed local diversions will also be in place.

The crane was brought into the town by a private contractor so that work could be carried out to a property in St. Mary’s Court.
