The annual dog show at Oak Farm, Ditton Priors will take place on Saturday 21 July from 10.15am to 1pm in Station Road.

Oak Farm, operated by Shropshire County Council, will be offering prizes in a total of seven categories including Best Pedigree, Waggiest Tail and the finale Champion of Champions. The winner of the top prize will receive a hamper of dog goodies.

Also attending the event will be Shropshire Wildlife Trust.

Stuart Toulson Locality Manager for Oak Farm said: “This will be a great opportunity for all dog enthusiasts to bring along their best friends to enjoy and take part in the many events. Oak Farm is a great venue for the dog show and we welcome all visitors.”

There is also an opportunity for visitors to walk round the farm to see the pigs, alpacas and Issy the Shetland pony.

Seasonal fruit and vegetables will be for sale and Pathways Shropshire will be serving coffee and light snacks, at the Tea Rooms.

Registrations for all classes to be made at the gate on the morning of the show. Visitors are welcome to enter as many classes as they wish. Each class is £1 per entry.

There will be a free class for all children aged 12 years and under to demonstrate their dog handling skills.
