Council and democracy Press releases Memorial service for former county councillorA service of remembrance and thanksgiving will be held next Tuesday (15 April) for Rodney Davies, county councillor for Market Drayton who passed away last week.
The service will take place at St Mary’s Church, Market Drayton at 12 noon, following a private cremation earlier that day.
Brian Gillow, Chairman of Shropshire County Council and county councillor for the Market Drayton Rural division, will represent the council at the service, and other county councillors and council staff are also expected to attend.
The family have asked for donations to the Royal National Life Boat Institution in place of flowers.
