Discovery Centre Gallery and Cafe Gallery
The best exhibition space in south Shropshire, our gallery and cafe gallery have a full programme of exhibitions from local artists and craftsmen. Everyone is invited to come and discover the current masterpieces - just pop in. For information on current and upcoming exhibitions, follow the link on this page.
Craven Arms Community Food and Farmers' Market
Our very popular farmers' markets are held on the first Saturday of the month between 9am and 1.30pm. Vendors sell meat, cheese, fish, bread, savouries, cakes, chocolates, juices, beer, wine, and beauty products, all of which are locally produced and/or sourced. Courses and events for adults
Let us inspire you with our programme of courses and events for adults. We have diverse opportunities from sewing to insect identification, hedge laying to getting to know your DSLR. All sessions have limited places so it is essential you book in advance. Follow the link for information on courses and dates.
Family and local history drop-in sessions
Our Local History Centre hosts volunteers every Friday from 10am to 1pm who can offer advice and answer questions about the local area and researching family history - just drop in. The volunteers can help you get to grips with microfiche of parish registers and copies of interesting documents related to the area, our reference collection, or the Ancestry website which you can use for free.
The volunteers are members of Craven Arms and District Local History Group, and would also welcome area residents past and present to share memorabilia and local information, which can either be returned or stored in the archives, with the group.
Craven Arms Reading Group
Come along and share the experience of a good book with the local reading group. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 10am for a 10am start.
Craven Arms Shamblers
This local group of walkers meet at the Discovery Centre on the second and fourth weeks at 10.30am for an enjoyable stroll into the countryside, and everyone is welcome to come along and join them. Walks are typically a couple of hours at a casual pace.
