TOPs After School Programme
The TOPs programme enables schoolchildren to access extra-curricular sports and play activities, led by qualified coaches, on their school site after school. The aim is to allow young people to enjoy top quality sports opportunities appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Schools are given the opportunity to facilitate TOP Play and TOP Sport sessions. TOP Play is aimed at 4-9 year olds and gives children the chance to take part in activities designed to enable them to develop and acquire their basic core skills. TOP sport sessions are aimed at 7-11 year olds and are designed to enable them to develop skills specific to a particular sport.
There is an extensive after-school weekly coaching programme in various primary schools within the southern Shropshire area.
