Run England is the official England Athletics recreational running project which aims to get the whole nation running.
Regardless of your age, fitness level, aspiration, background, or location you can be a part of Run England and benefit from being a part of England's running community. We are here to help and encourage more people to run, and to run more often.
Leisure Services, along with Energize STW, the county sports partnership for Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin, are currently developing a network of beginner running groups across Shropshire. The idea of this project is to engage with people who would like to take up running on a regular basis either as a novice or for someone who's taken a break from running but would like to take it up again.
The sessions can cater for people who are starting from a walking prospective and gradually over time will be able to run over a sustained distance and for those who can run for a limited time.
All groups will be run by a qualified Leader who has undertaken the "Leadership in Running Fitness" qualification.
Groups are set up across Shropshire according to demand and popularity.
