Paddling Pool
Please note- The Paddling Pool will reopen on Sunday 14 August at 12pm, weather permitting. This essential repair work has now been completed and Shropshire Council apologises for any inconvenience caused.

- Quarry pool - 51 metre flume (available during recreational swimming sessions), 1,3 and 5 metre diving boards (available during recreational swimming sessions on the hour for half an hour) and spectator gallery

- Fitness suite - including split cardiovascular and resistance training rooms, steam room, sauna and spa pool
- Café
- Fully accessible indoor changing facilities
- Creche - Monday: 9.30am - 11.25am, Wednesday: 12pm - 1.55pm and Friday 9.30am - 11.25am

Quarry Fitness Suite
The Quarry Fitness Suite has recently undergone a large expansion and refurbishment, creating an impressive new 37 station multi-room gym layout, providing 17 cardiovascular machines in one room and 20 resistance training machines in another room.
The minimum age of access to the gym is 12 years old, and children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and can only use the cardiovascular machines and not the resistance training machines. Juniors aged 16 and above have full use of the resistance machines without supervision.
Our customers range from students to the elderly, for fitness, health and satisfaction for all ages is our aim.
Our expert staff are here to advise you on all your fitness needs, and can provide one on one guidance in fitness routines and offer nutritional help.

These are Anytime and Off Peak, and are available at junior, adult and 60+ prices for the first time ever!

BeActive Leisure Membership Scheme
The BeActive leisure scheme is open to all residents, visitors, clubs, groups and organisations and is available at all Shropshire Council leisure facilities.
By becoming a BeActive member you can receive discounts of up to 15% on most activities at our leisure centres.

Corporate Membership
Corporate membership via direct debit is available to companies, businesses, hotels and employing organisations.
Discount of up to 20% is available on our usual tariff.

Shrewsbury leisure gift vouchers
The 'Shrewsbury Leisure Gift Vouchers' previously purchased under Shrewsbury & Atcham Borough Council will only be accepted in Shropshire Council leisure facilities up until 31 March 2012.
Shropshire Swim Academy ‘Learning today, Skills for life’
The Shropshire Swim Academy is a programme for babies through to adults. Free badges and certificates are offered within the course fees and under 8’s enrolled on the programme go free during public sessions!

Children's Pool Parties
Make it a birthday to remember and book your child's party at The Quarry Swimming Centre.
We offer a range of different options to cater for all ages in our different pools.
Parties are available on Saturdays only and start from 12pm in the Priory and Teaching pools and 5pm in the Quarry pool.
Car Parking
The centre operates a pay and display system. However, there are only 18 spaces available (see details on this page).
Alternative parking is available along Victoria Avenue and Priory Road (pay and display is in operation not allied to the swimming centre discount scheme), details of which are displayed by Shropshire Council. We also have an arrangement with Shrewsbury Sixth Form College for parking out of college hours (excluding Saturdays when a small fee is charged by the college).
There are several short and long stay car parking sites within a five minute walking distance from the centre operated by Shropshire Council.

Car park users pay up to £2.20 for a maximum two hours parking or £4.40 for a maximum four hours parking, and receive a two part ticket. Part one is displayed on the vehicle, part two is presented to the reception desk for refund of deposit if appropriate.

Sunday / Public Holidays: 8am - 5pm
The deposit is not refundable to those car park users who choose not to use the centre facilities, or who pay a centre admission fee below the stated minimum value.
