Keeping children safe and helping them to feel safe is fundamental to our work in the early years education and childcare sector. The training contained in this section will support everyone in being effective in their role of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in their care.
Essential courses have been revised and updated to ensure that practitioners have access to the most up to date information to keep abreast of any changes in legislation, Ofsted guidance or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) welfare requirements. These are complemented by a number of courses that focus on specific areas of practice or roles. This should ensure that you are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to keep children safe and protected and develop their resilience.
Some of the courses in this section have not been mapped against the Common Core competencies and the Early Years Foundation Stage as the subjects and content are not specifically designed to match these criteria. Overall they support "Stay Safe" from the Every Child Matters outcomes.
