Supporting People strategy

Since the start of Supporting People in April 2003, the Shropshire Supporting People Team has worked closely with partners to understand the needs of vulnerable people in Shropshire.

Supporting People has a five-year strategy which sets out the plans for Supporting People in Shropshire, and contains:

• information about the services being provided
• details of planned changes
• information about funding for Supporting People services and how more funding might be gained
• information about how services are checked to make sure they provide high quality
• how services that work with people from Shropshire and other areas will be managed
• recognition of the needs of different groups of people in the county

Partners in the Supporting People Programme include:

• District and borough councils
• health
• probation
• voluntary sector
• service users/customers/carers
