Guidance for settings in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin
Shropshire Council has worked closely with Telford & Wrekin Council, the Health Protection Agency and other key partners to ensure that schools and other children's settings can be given the appropriate advice, at the right time, on managing suspected or assumed cases of swine flu.
The 'H1N1 swine flu pandemic, advice and guidance to children and young people's settings in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin' document, attached to this page, was produced in autumn 2009 and provides support to all children's settings across the county, including the independent and voluntary sectors and colleges of further education.
The document was produced to update children's settings on assumptions about the virus, provide more detailed advice from the Health Protection Agency, some guidance on updating or preparing continuity planning and where to go for more advice. The chapters cover the following:
- Current Situation (when document was produced in autumn 2009)
- Communications
- Closures
- Mutual Aid
- Anti-Virals and Vaccinations
- Recovery Planning
- Training Workshops
- Standing Advice
