Where to eat

Get a real taste for Shropshire!

Shropshire is passionate about food and drink. Hardly surprising when you consider the rich variety of local produce in the county.

A lot of locally produced food and ingredients can be found on sale in Shropshire's market towns, or served as part of mouthwatering dishes created in local restaurants. Ludlow in particular has a big reputation for its superb restaurants and places to eat.

You can find pubs and inns serving real ale brewed in the county - perfect refreshment after a long walk through the beautiful Shropshire countryside - or enjoy afternoon tea in the many delightful tea shops and cafes. If you're a connoisseur of the bottled grape, you can even visit the Roman vineyard at Wroxeter.

Whatever your preference, you'll get a real taste for Shropshire.
