Shropshire Council is responsible for the production and implementation of Contingency Plans for the protection of animal and human health within the County and for the provision of enforcement measures and advice in the event of an outbreak or suspected outbreak. Shropshire Trading Standards is responsible for the enforcement of animal health legislation within the county.
A Generic Disease Plan and Specific plans for Foot and Mouth, Avian Influenza, Rabies and Classical Swine Fever are maintained and updated.
