New direct train service linking Shropshire with London

Direct trains to London will start on Monday 28 April.

Wrexham and Shropshire have announced that their new direct train service to London Marylebone will start on Monday 28 April 2008. From this date, they will be offering the full timetable of five trains per day on weekdays, four on Saturdays and three on Sundays.

Wrexham & Shropshire's trains are currently being refitted to exacting standards by a specialist firm in Stoke-on-Trent. The refurbished trains will offer a modern, comfortable travelling environment once completed this summer. In the meantime, they will be hiring top-quality trains for use from 28 April for the first few months of operation so they can launch the service much earlier.

Full details of their range of value-for-money fares - and how and where you can buy tickets - will be released in the next few weeks.
