Refocusing of the Directorate’s Services to children in care and to those at risk of harm has resulted in the enhancement of both Service’s management structures. The creation of these posts will demonstrate continuing commitment to safeguard children in Shropshire and will enable the Teams and their workers to continue to work to exacting performance and quality standards.
The successful applicant will join a Directorate where expectations of staff and their managers are high. The appointed manager will be expected to ensure an effective delivery of service and the smooth transition of work between the early prevention and support teams and services such as the Looked After Children’s Team and Disabled Children’s Team. The Manager will have an opportunity to develop their skills and expertise and will take a lead responsibility for decision making, quality of assessment and planning as well as liaison with key partners.
The Stay Safe Service is based in Shrewsbury and provide an assessment and case management service across the County.
