This is an Open Vacancy which will be advertised regularly.
Leisure Services are looking for qualified swimming teachers to join their team to teach swimming skills to children and adults, and to perform some lifeguard duties, at the Quarry Swimming & Fitness Centre.
In addition to teaching you will be required to assist in the initial programming and ongoing organisation of instruction classes, together with the necessary testing and examination of instruction class clients. You must hold the minimum of the ASA Teachers Certificate Level One or the STA STC (B) qualification and hold a current RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification (Foundation Module Award 7th Edition), as general lifeguard duties will be required. A First Aid certificate would be an advantage.
Customer service and communication skills are essential to these roles, as you need to be able to demonstrate efficiency and courtesy when dealing with visitors to the Centre.
Hours of work will vary as service demands and cannot be guaranteed. This will involve evening/weekend/bank holiday work.
