A new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to deliver Managing Actual and Potential Aggression training to workers across the Social Care & Health sector in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.

You will work within Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin’s policy to support the implementation of the training programme in line with National Policy and legislation. This work extends across partner agencies including the independent and voluntary sector. You will understand the Government Guidance regarding Management of Actual or Potential Aggression, Restrictive Physical Interventions. The posts ensure that learning and development opportunities support national service frameworks, the modernisation and changing working practices agenda for health and social care and the development of future skills mixes.

You will be a registered professional with a social work, nursing or equivalent relevant professional qualification and be a licensed trainer in Managing Actual or Potential Aggression, MAPA® or willing to undertake this training.

You will work in partnership to identify, plan, commission, coordinate and deliver an integrated approach to learning and development in the area of Restrictive Physical Interventions in the social care and health workforce.
