An exciting opportunity has arisen within Shropshire Council’s Countryside Access Team, based at The Shirehall, Shrewsbury; to oversee and develop the LEADER funded Shropshire Way Project around Oswestry. The main aim of the project is to improve access to the new sections of The Shropshire Way in a loop around Oswestry and to deliver new opportunities for existing and new users to understand and appreciate the landscape, its heritage, its places and its people.

The Shropshire Way Project Officer will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all access, interpretive, educational and community developments and to ensure the delivery and successful completion of the agreed project outputs.

You will have significant experience of successful working on community project development or rights of way delivery with experience of managing contractors. Experience of delivering interpretation and promotional material is also essential along with an understanding of working in partnership with other organisations, land managers and local communities to develop and deliver programmes.
