Household recycling centres - user survey 2006
In February 2006 Shropshire County Council carried out a user survey to ask people for their views on the county’s household recycling centres. A summary of the findings can be found in the attached report.
Visitors to the council’s recycling centres in Shrewsbury, Whitchurch, Oswestry, Craven Arms and Bridgnorth were interviewed by staff employed by a specialist research company, and asked what they thought about the facilities and service.
Visitors to the new recycling centres in Shrewsbury and Whitchurch were also asked to rate the new facilities compared to the sites that they replaced, at Betton Abbots and Prees respectively.
And customers using the Coder Road Amenity Skip & Recycling Centre in Ludlow, which is provided by South Shropshire District Council, were also interviewed.
Copies of the questionnaire could also be requested from the waste management unit at Shropshire County Council and completed online on this website. And anyone applying for an entry permit which allows household waste to be taken to a recycling centre in a van or commercial vehicle was sent a copy of the questionnaire with their permit.
We would like to thank everybody that took part in the survey.
