What can currently be recycled ?
In Shropshire we can recycle all types of metal cans through the kerbside collection service and local recycling points. We can accept any metal can, steel or aluminium including aerosols and tin foil.
- Any clean food tins and drinks cans
- Clean aluminium foil
- Empty aerosol cans
What happens to the cans and foil?
It’s sorted magnetically, to remove the ferous metal. The metal is then melted down in a furnace to be made into new metal products – your can could me made into car parts, bicycles or even new drinks cans.
