People often ask us - what happens to the waste that gets collected?
When we put waste out for collection its easy to forget that this is just the start of the process. After collection all waste has to be taken to licensed sites to be treated.
Recycling has to transported to factories all over the UK to be put through industrial processes to sort it, clean it up, and break it down into its component materials. Only then can it be turned back into useful everyday items.
