How to apply

Applying is easy! Just follow these three steps...

Step 1

Decide which of the following concessions is the right one for you:

  • National bus pass
  • Bridgnorth Cliff Railway vouchers
  • Senior railcard

Step 2

National bus pass

Please apply below using the green button. Alternatively, you can visit Shropshire Local (Shrewsbury) or Shropshire Local (Ludlow). When applying in person we'll take a photo of you.

Please note that if you choose to apply online for your first bus pass, you'll need to have an email address, and be able to upload a photo.

Senior railcards or Bridgnorth cliff railway

Please bring one of the following required documents to Shropshire Local (Shrewsbury) or Shropshire Local (Ludlow):

  • Birth certificate
  • Driving licence
  • State pension letter
  • Passport

Please also bring one of the following proofs of residence (place of residence must be clearly shown as Shropshire and be the most recent copy):

  • Council tax bill
  • Utility bill
  • Bank/credit card statement

For senior railcard applicants, you'll be given a unique code to use online. This will reduce the cost of a one-year railcard to £9. Your railcard will be posted to you direct from National Rail.

Step 3

If you're applying for a bus pass or Bridgnorth Cliff Railway voucher, check your post. Approximately ten working days after your application, you should receive your new concession.
